Question: How long has Teen Mother Choices been in existence?
Teen Mother Choices has served parenting teenage mothers since March of 1989.
Question: Who specifically does Teen Mother Choices serve?
Teen Mother Choices has always concentrated its services on parenting teenage mothers. Parenting teenage mothers are women between the ages of 13-19 years, who have already given birth and have chosen to parent their children. The reason Teen Mother Choices chooses to work with this specific population is because there are many organizations already serving pregnant teenagers.
Question: How many Teen Mother Choices' programs are there currently?
Currently, there are three Teen Mother Choices' programs in existence. All programs are located in northern Illinois.
Question: How many teenage mothers does each office serve at one time?
Each Teen Mother Choices office serves 5-8 teenage mothers at any given time.
Question: Why can Teen Mother Choices serve up to only eight teenage mothers at a time?
Teen Mother Choices works hard to serve all parts of a teenage mother's life. Teen Mother Choices not only helps a teenage mother return to high school, but we also assist her finding housing, employment and any other service that will help her to become a more responsible adult and therefore, a better parent to her child.
Question: How long can a teenage mother remain a part of Teen Mother Choices?
Each teenage mother involved with Teen Mother Choices works on goals set by the teenage mother and the Director of Student Services. These goals are re-evaluated every six months. As long as the teenage mother continues to work on her goals, she may remain a part of the Teen Mother Choices program.
Question: Will Teen Mother Choices ever add any new chapters?
Teen Mother Choices added its new division TMCInternational to begin developing and training other individuals around the country so that other Teen Mother Choices chapters can begin serving teenage mothers in 2010.
