Linda Carroll - Chicago Marathon Update

(Excerpt from Linda’s Follow Up Support Letter):

Dear Family, friends and generous supporters,

I just wanted to give you one last update: I finished the marathon! (in 4:17:14, my folks wanted me to point out that I finished in the top third of the running field -- can you tell they were proud of my accomplishment?) I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate your generous support, prayers and well wishes! I know that played a huge part in me being able to complete the marathon. What a huge blessing to TMC and the teen moms that will benefit greatly from your generosity!

It has been a great summer of training, obsessing over the weather, anticipation, being in contact with all of you, obsessing over what I ate, etc, but it was all worth it thanks to all of you who made attaining my goal a reality!

We are proud of Linda’s commitment to journey such lengths for the young families at Teen Mother Choices. Not only did Linda reach her goal, she surpassed it by bringing in $4000! Linda is so excited about the teamwork involved in this fundraiser that she is encouraging other runners alike to join her as TMC unveils “Team TMC” a new fundraising program that we will be organizing early next year. Thanks to all of you who prayed and financially supported Linda and the many teenage mothers and children who will benefit from your gifts!
